I'm Chris Hudson AAE MIMI, the owner of CHM Autos. I've worked in the motor trade for 25 years, starting my career as an apprentice and continuing to build my knowledge and experience throughout the years.

I became an MOT Tester in 2007 and achieved Master Technician status in 2022. As vehicle technology has changed, I've continued to develop my skills and have undertaken specialist training in electric and hybrid vehicles, advanced diagnostics and ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems).

I enjoy working on modern vehicles and keeping up with the latest technology and diagnostic techniques. My aim is always to find the cause of a problem rather than simply treat the symptoms, and to make sure my customers understand what their vehicle needs and why.

For me, running an independent garage is about providing the kind of service I'd want myself. I believe in being honest, straightforward and transparent, explaining the work clearly and never recommending something that isn't necessary.
